COLONY Update: March 2025

Updated: Sep 30

ree

Welcome back, everyone!

This month was a little chaotic, so while we didn’t get everything done that we had hoped to, progress was made nonetheless, so let’s hop in!

State of the Game

This has been a lighter month for game work, but we’re still getting things done. As we continue to work on the Creature Compendium, the next step is filling out Traits for each individual Creature, determining which cards they can use. This is going to be a long process, and we’re only just getting started on it, so you’ll likely be seeing reports on our progress on it over at least the next few months.

Song of Origins

The music for Movements 5 and 6 have both been composed, and are being mixed and mastered as we speak; as of right now, we are working to get them finalized and ready for video editing. An initial editing pass has been completed for Part 4’s audio, and we hope to have its corresponding visual element completed in April! We also polished off the last few voiceover elements we needed for the Song of Origins.

Live Streams

If you’ve been keeping up with our recent streams, Charles has been working on designs for some Sekuta that we haven’t shown off quite as much as the others, including the Ra (caterpillars) and Tof (the ancestors of the Fora and Tera). They will be featured in Part 2 of the Song of Origins, and we want to make sure they’re looking their best before their debut appearance! Hope you enjoy them, I know we did!

And with that, I think that concludes March’s newsletter! Thank you all so much for being here, and as always, see you next month!

Cheers,

Isaac Muir

"To each, their own voice, their own hand. To each, their own word, their own mark, their own note. To each, their own vision, their own passion, their own love. To each, a stage, a podium, a wall, on which they graciously display a piece of themselves. For what is art that sits in the dark, unheard, unseen, unread, but an eagle in a cage?"
