Hello, everyone! Muir has been waylaid by some recent life developments, so Hahli is writing the post this month.
State of the Game
We launched the first free print-and-play demo for Song of the Sekuta earlier this month, previewing the game’s Arena format! If you haven’t tried it out yet, give it a shot: test your Champion’s might against other players as an Apoi (bee-folk), Manta, (mantis-folk), Het (moth-folk), or as a reward for patrons at the $5 tier or above, a Fora (ant-folk)! Since the release, we’ve issued a couple of addendums, mainly to clarify our explanations of certain mechanics. We want to make the best game we possibly can, and in order to do that, we need to hear from you: if you’ve tried out the demo, we’d appreciate it if you could fill out this short questionnaire and tell us what you think of it so far. To everyone who’s already submitted feedback, thank you for taking the time to do so, and please keep the questions coming!
On the development side, we’ve started to lay the groundwork for the second major iteration of the demo, which will be showcasing the game’s Adventure format: you and your fellow Champions will have to band together to explore the world of Aoiama, playing in collaboration with a Game Monarch to tell your tale. The Adventure demo will include a selection of allies and enemies that you might encounter on your travels, expanding on the materials and mechanics we’ve established in the first demo. To be clear, it’s going to be at least several months before this one is ready, so in the meantime, make sure you’re keeping your skills sharp in the Arena!
Song of Origins
Although we unfortunately haven’t had the opportunity to stream this month, rest assured that work on Part 3 continues. Our talented musicians and artists are making progress on Movement 7, and we look forward to getting back to the live streams at some point in the future.
That’s all for September! As always, thank you for taking the time to catch up with us, and we hope you have a great day.
