COLONY Update: July 2025

Hello, everyone! We’ve had a relatively quiet, yet productive month, and we can’t wait to show you guys what we’ve been up to! Let’s get started!

Livestreams

While we’ve been keeping a lot of our art progress close to the chest these past couple of months, we are hopeful to begin returning to a more regular schedule for the art streams soon. But we are excited to announce that we’ll be on another stream very soon!

As you may know, our humble project can trace its roots back to our team's love of BIONICLE, and have close ties to the folks in that community who run the 810NICLE Day celebration broadcast. In years past, Hexahedron Studios has had the privilege to use that stream to present not just COLONY content, but also our friends' wonderful creative works through a segment called Beyond BIONICLE

Beyond BIONICLE is a showcase of our creation to give a platform to smaller creatives whose works are not centered around BIONICLE, providing them an opportunity to show off their amazing work to an audience of dedicated and curious fans. We are happy to announce that we are once again hosting Beyond BIONICLE on this year's 810NICLE Day stream!

This year, we will be welcoming back our friend Lei (who voices Su in The Song of Origins Part 1) with their project, ROBOTRIO, as well as two newcomers to the showcase, The Afterman Chronicles, and The Mythseeker. We are super excited to have the opportunity to show off what wonderful creative work they have been investing into their projects, and hope you are equally entranced.

In addition to being able to show off their talent, we are also SUPER EXCITED to unveil the world premiere of the COLONY tabletop RPG gameplay trailer we’ve been hard at work producing for the past six months! That trailer will premiere at the end of the showcase which you will NOT want to miss!

So mark your calendars for Sunday, August 10th to tune into the 810NICLE Day stream! Beyond BIONICLE will be the second major event of the broadcast, and you can check for the exact time we'll be airing by going over to https://810nicleday.com/schedule/ and checking when the event starts for you (the schedule automatically updates to your timezone).

We also hope that if you tune in that you stick around for more of the 810NICLE Day broadcast! The folks in the BIONICLE community who put together the content shown in the broadcast work so hard throughout the year to bring this amazing endeavor to life.
