COLONY Update: August 2026

Hello, everyone! Hahli’s writing the post this month – and what a busy month it’s been! We have a lot to cover, including some new announcements, so let’s get right into it.

State of the Game

First and foremost, the Adventure demo for the Song of the Sekuta TTRPG is releasing tomorrow! Adventure Format allows you to step into the world of Aoiama on the tabletop, telling a story in collaboration with your fellow Champions and a Game Monarch. This demo includes cards for a set of pre-built Champions, a one-shot Adventure story, and a cast of NPC Sekuta and other creatures you may encounter on your travels. We’re so excited for you all to finally be able to get your hands on it, and we’re looking forward to hearing your feedback so that we can continue to improve the system. Demo Days

Muir is headed to Tucson Comic-Con this weekend to run live demonstrations of Song of the Sekuta! He will be running Arena games on Saturday and Adventure demos on Sunday between 11AM and 4PM! Come hang out, have a chat, and take home a free poster! Enter the Arena tournament, and you could win fabulous Colony prizes from our shop!

But Wait, There’s More

We’re not done yet! Earlier in August, Hexahedron Studios returned to the annual 810NICLE Day livestream for Beyond BIONICLE, a segment focused on original stories and worlds inspired by BIONICLE. Hexahedron Studios now has an official online store! We have art prints, T-shirts, and more on offer right now, with additional designs and products planned for the future. All proceeds go directly toward supporting our team, especially our talented artists, Charles and Matt, who were responsible for creating the designs.

We’re also running a Colony fan art contest over on our Discord server! Submissions will be accepted in three categories: physical models, illustrations, and beyond (written stories, music, animation, etc.). The winners will receive prizes from our shop, and their entries will be displayed in a fan art gallery on our website! Song of Origins

Charles continues to work on art for Movement 7, and with just a few pieces left to go, we’re looking ahead to Movement 8. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming months!
